Wallace Prather is Derrick Favors' agent. He tells Adam Zagoria of SNY that while the Sixers "clearly have interest" in his client, the Nets have "genuine interest." What's the diff? Could just be the time of the year.
"I think there's genuine interest," Prather said when asked about the Nets and Favors, the 6'10" PF.
"I can't say for sure they will pick him. I think they have a need at the four position, the three and four. In this draft they can go with either forward position. I do know coming directly from them they are interested in the four position."
The one unknown is whether the Sixers' interest in Favors is really all that clear. They had Evan Turner in for a workout Thursday, took him to dinner and showed up him the City of Brotherly Love. They even had a page prepared and published on their website listing him as their pick. Doug Collins, who reportedly like Favors better, praised Turner as a "great competitor". Never mind the logjam that could develop with Andre Iguodala, Thaddeus Young and Andres Nocioni.
