With a Week Left to the Draft, Crunchtime Approaches

The Philly situation remains unsettled, the uncertainty enhanced by word of a big trade that would leave the Sixers with a lot of NBA quality swingmen.  The Nets meanwhile are just beginning to work out the top picks.

Wesley Johnson was in Thursday for a one-on-oh workout and everyone is looking forward to Monday's battle of the bigs between Derrick Favors and DeMarcus Cousins.  Wesley Johnson (the third player named Johnson to work out in front of Avery Johnson in the last two days) comported himself well in spite of stomach cramps.

Gregg Polinsky laid down what the Nets want to see Monday: "You want to see how they compete," Polinsky said. "Not who shoots it better with the right-handed jump hook, who shows a step-through, who has more range. But are both guys willing to go chest to chest?"
