60 Minutes With Avery Johnson

Avery Johnson made the rounds of New York radio stations Tuesday and Wednesday. Although he spent a lot of time talking about the Nets, he spent more talking about the game in general.  Overall, it's a feast for any hoops fan.  Three interviews...one hour. Spend some time.

He talked about the playoffs, what makes a team and a franchise great, how you put together a coaching staff, how you match up rookies with good "holdovers" (and mentioned Terrence Williams as one of those holdovers) and the value of having a former player as head coach.

He also recounted Mikhail Prokhorov's first words to him: "Hello, Little General".
