As it did last summer, the NBA is running group workouts for draft prospects and like last summer, one of them will be in New Jersey. The other will be in Minneapolis, with the possibility that a third could also be scheduled. The group workout idea was conceived to help teams cut costs...and to see prospects in larger group settings. Teams and agents had mixed views on the group format.
HoopsWorld reported the Nets involvement, but did not say when the group workout would take place. As many as 40 players will work out at each of the two sessions. The group workouts will not prohibit the Nets from running team workout sessions for prospects they're more seriously considering. The Nets currently have three picks in the first 31: one of the top four as well as #27 and #31.
