This ain't about overnight package delivery. Rod Thorn hinted Monday his short list of coaching candidates now includes the coach Cleveland fired earlier in the day. Rather than say he was looking at "four to five" possibilities, he's now saying the number is "four to six". Asked if his list includes Mike Brown, Thorn responded with a laugh, "Maybe", adding that Brown is a good coach "did a tough job very well." Thorn said he has no interviews scheduled.
On the draft, Thorn listed a number of prospects coming in for workouts. All appear to be candidates for #27 or #31. He did say the short list for #3 might expand to include Greg Monroe of Georgetown, Al-Farouq Aminu of Wake Forest and even Ekpe Udoh of Baylor. Thorn wouldn't dismiss the idea of moving up but added "we haven't fallen in love with anybody yet.”
