The Nets have a chance for their second winning streak of the year --and their fith win in seven games-- when they face the woeful Washington Wizards, 1-16 over the last month. Andray Blatche, in spite of his recent run in with coach Flip Saunders, has been the Wizards' most effective player in February and March, averaging 20.6 points a game and shooting almost 50% from the floor. He scored a season high 36 against the Nets at the end of February.
For the Nets, it will be a chance to win their 12th game, moving them up the ladder and away from record making futility. With 11 wins, they're tied for the second worst season mark ever. A 12th win puts them in fourth. The game will not be televised locally, the first of three that YES declined to carry because of conflicts with the Yankees' opening schedule.
