Game 82 - Nets @ Heat - Wednesday, April 14, 8:00

Our heroes will make one more assault on the beaches (South, Miami, etc.) for the greater glory of Nets fans...and the enemy may make it easy.  The Heat is in retreat. There's intelligence that Dwyane Wade among others will not  play.  They want to drop back  to the sixth spot in the playoffs and play the Hawks.  They're taking no chances.

And so the end is near.  The Nets, who currently hold the fourth worst record in NBA history, would like to move up...and finish the final stretch of the season at 6-6.  The big questions now are about the off-season, starting with where the Nets second first round pick will fall.  If San Antonio beats Dallas Wednesday, then there will be a tie with either Utah or Phoenix (who play each other) and a drawing Thursday in New York for the 26th pick.  Otherwise, the last piece of the Jason Kidd trade will be the 27th pick in the 2010 Draft.
