Brooklyn Opponents Look at New Reality

A Village Voice report that Freddy's Bar got its eviction notice Thursday was apparently mistaken, but for Freddy's manager and employees, reality is starting to set in. Admittedly exhausted by the six year long battle, bar manager Donald O'Finn told the Village Voice he's prepared to re-open the bar elsewhere. "I think Freddy's is an idea, not an address."  And while some patrons of the bar plan to fight to the bitter legal end, The Atlantic Yards Report questions whether the bar is "a place of constant anti-AY fomentation."
