First Quarter Defense Does In Nets

It was one of those 36-minutes-is-not-enough nights at the Izod Center Friday night, as the Nets were unable to recover from a first-quarter onslaught by the Raptors. Playing without Chris Bosh, Toronto scored 32 points on 14-23 shooting in the opening 12 minutes. They led by as many as 18 points in the second before the Nets were finally able to start trading baskets with them. The Nets got to within six late in the third quarter before the Raptors opened it up again. Toronto had seven players in double-figures and shot 60 percent for the game. Brook Lopez had 22 points and eight rebounds for the Nets. Devin Harris added 19 points and 11 assists and Courtney Lee finished with 17 points, but Yi Jianlian had another ugly game, shooting just 2-13 from the field. He's shooting 31 percent in February.
