The Nets and Devils are close to a deal to move the Nets to the Prudential Center in downtown Newark. The two teams will then ask Gov. Chris Christie to bless it...and waive a $7.5 million lease penalty for the Nets. Christie has reportedly told all parties he wants to see the agreement before making a decision. The 18,500-seat arena would be the Nets home until they move to Brooklyn, presumably in 2012.
