Terrence Williams is proving he's too good for the D-League.
For the second straight game, T-Will finished with a triple-double as the Springfield Armor lost to the Fort Wayne Red Ants in overtime, 130-124. While his first T-D was heavy on assists and rebounds, his second was dominated by scoring. He finished with 32 points, 10 rebounds and 12 assists. He shot 12-22, including 4-5 from three. In two games, Williams is averaging 24 points, 12.5 rebounds and 12.5 assists.
Craig Brackins, the 6'10" foward dispatched to Springfield by the 76ers, finished with 15 and 12 while Scottie Reynolds, one of the league's leading scorers, had only seven for the Armor. The Mad Ants' two guards combined for 59 points. Walker Russell, their point guard, went for 31 points and 13 assists. Roderick Wilmont, the Mad Ants' shooting guard, finished with 28. Tom Barrise, the Nets' assistant coach, was in Springfield.
The Armor play again Sunday at 5 p.m. vs. the Maine Red Claws in Portland.
