This wasn't the same Magic team team as the one the Nets faced twice in early November, but the result was the same. The Nets kept it close for 2 1/2 quarters on Monday at the Prudential Center, but they simply didn't have enough, falling 104-88 to drop to 9-22.

The Nets held a brief lead midway through the third quarter, but Orlando was in control most of the game and their 16-5 run right after the Nets took the lead was one the Nets would never recover from. The Magic shot 49 percent from the field and 12-for-28 from 3-point range. They had six players in double-figures, led by Hedo Turkoglu (20 points) and Dwight Howard (19 points, 13 rebounds, six blocks).

Devin Harris led the Nets with 24 points and five assists and Brook Lopez held his own against Howard, finishing with added 18 points and seven boards. But the rest of the Nets shot just 14-for-48 from the field.
