Fred Kerber and Ken Berger report that the Nuggets have told teams they will not engage in any trade talks until after the holidays, out of respect for Carmelo Anthony whose sister passed away Tuesday in Baltimore. Michelle Anthony, mother of four, died of a pre-existing condition.
Berger writes with the closeness of the tragedy to the Christmas holiday, any talks will be put on hold. "It is a difficult time" for the Anthony family, "especially during the holidays," said a source. Anthony missed Wednesday night's loss in San Antonio and won't return until after Denver's game against Oklahoma City on Christmas Day.
