The last time the Nets won three straight games was in February 2009, but Wednesday night, they'll go for that number in New Orleans, which has been reeling lately, losing seven of their last 10. The Nets have been led by two likely stars, Devin Harris and Brook Lopez, and one unlikely, Sasha Vujacic.
Harris is averaging 19.5 points and 7.0 assists over the last four games after scoring 10.5 per game on 32.7 percent shooting as the Nets lost their previous eight. Lopez had his fifth 20-point game in the last eight vs. the Grizzlies while Vujacic, who Avery Johnson described as bringing "positive energy", is averaging 10.7 off the bench in his three games as a Net.
For the Hornets, it's been rough. After starting 11-1, they are now 16-12. Moreover, their time in New Orleans seems short. The NBA owners approved a takeover of the team earlier this week. Chris Paul, who everyone thinks is a Nets target, is averaging 16.2 and 9.7 while shooting nearly 50% from deep.
