Bench Keys Nets Win over Hawks

The Nets got their second straight home win and their second win over the Hawks at the Prudential Center on Sunday, and they had some unlikely heroes.

The Hawks made 11 of their first 14 shots and led by as many as nine points in the first quarter. But they really cooled off after that and the Nets came back and took the lead midway through the second. The game was tied at halftime and again after the third quarter, but the Nets' bench started the fourth on a 7-0 run. The Nets went up by as many as 10 and held on for a seven-point win.

Atlanta shot just 39 percent for the game. The Nets didn't shoot much better, but they outrebounded the Hawks 46-39. Devin Harris led all scorers with 22 points and Brook Lopez added 16, but the bench was the difference. Sasha Vujacic scored 10 points, grabbed six rebounds, and was a +23 in 29 minutes. And Troy Murphy added eight points and five rebounds in 22 minutes.
