The Nets were in Brooklyn Monday distributing toys at Borough Hall.  Led by one co-captain, Brook Lopez, six Nets gave out 1,100 toys to children from five Salvation Army community centers.  Before the Sixer game Tuesday, the Nets will accept gently used or new winter coats. Coat bins will be in the box office and at every entrance.

Then, on Wednesday, the rest of the team, led by the other co-captain Devin Harris, will join "Santa Sly" and the Nets  Dancers to host a Holiday party at the PNY Center for kids from the Boys & Girls Club of Newark.  Separately, Derrick Favors will accompany other Nets Dancers and Mini-Sly to the Lutheran Health Care Center in Sunset Park, Brooklyn, to hand out gifts and take photographs with children. Patients from four Lutheran Family Health Center sites were invited to participate in this holiday activity. It's all part of the NBA's Season of Giving which runs from before Thanksgiving to New Year's Day.
