Barclays Center has released a new image of construction progress at the Brooklyn arena site showing the steel infrastructure reaching a second story. Steel work began November 23.
The distinctive outer "skin" of the arena is expected to be installed starting next month.
Meanwhile, the Empire State Development Corporation, the state agency in charge of the project, says excavation has begun in the last section of the site, where Dan Goldstein's condo building once stood. The arena floor will be 25' below street level.
Meanwhile, Barclays Center announced Friday that it has signed an agreement with Feld Entertainment to bring Feld's family shows to the arena. Among the 48 shows that will be performed each year: Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey® Circus, Disney On Ice, Disney Live!, Monster Jam, AMA Arenacross (AX), and Nuclear Cowboyz freestyle motocross.
