Irina Pavlova, Mikhail Prokhorov's representative in New York, has quietly been elevated to the boards of directors for both Nets Basketball and Brooklyn Arena, LLC, which controls Barclays Center, according to the Nets' new media guide and Nets insiders. In the guide she's listed below Prokhorov and Chairman Christophe Charlier.

As president of Onexim Sports and Entertainment Holdings USA, the Russian-born Pavlova has been delegated by  Prokhorov to ensure that "the franchise has everything necessary to build a championship team" and  to coordinate "all necessary activity with Forest City Ratner Companies regarding the Barclays Center", according to the media guide.  She has no role in the team's day-to-day basketball operations.

Charlier, a French banker and long-time aide to the Russian billionaire, serves as chairman of the board of Nets Basketball.  The board has seven members, four from Prokhorov's Onexim Group and three from Bruce Ratner's Nets Sports & Entertainment.
