Troy Murphy was spotted on the practice floor Monday, but won't be on the Prudential Center floor Tuesday. Avery Johnson told reporters that the 6'11" PF needs more strength work and won't even travel to Boston for Wednesday's game. The other reason: Kris Humphries and Derrick Favors are productive.
Meanwhile, Nets insiders confirm that Mikhail Prokhorov will be at the Hawks game in the owner's box, landing later today. It will be Prokhorov's first game since the opening week of the season, when the Nets went 2-1 with him in attendance. The Nets' Russian owner has said he will fly in for 10 home games this season.
