Troy Murphy was supposed to return from his groin injury on Saturday against the Sixers. But the Nets announced Friday morning that Murphy has suffered a lower back injury, putting him out indefinitely. "An MRI performed today confirmed a low back strain/ inflammation," reads the Nets' statement.
Murphy will not travel with the team to Russia and China and will be reevaluated when the team returns in a week and a half. The Nets have not described the circumstances of Murphy's injury.
