Nets Still "Most Motivated" in Hunt for 'Melo But Nuggets Aim Too High

Ken Berger reports that while the Nets are "'still the team that has the assets and is the most motivated' according to one person connected to the talks", the Nuggets continue to "actively" seek other offers for Carmelo Anthony ...without any luck.  The problem, writes Berger, is that Denver is asking too much.

"They're still banging away at this," said one of the people with knowledge of the discussions. "But the well has dried up a little bit'." The Nuggets continue to want draft choices, a good young player on his rookie deal and a solid veteran, but other teams' offers don't match their needs and so other NBA execs believe they will have to "sacrifice" or risk losing Anthony in free agency.
