"The Rock" Rocks as Nets Come Back to Beat Pistons in Opener

It really is All New. They won!

The Nets came back from seven points down with 1:40 left to beat the Pistons 101-98 at the Prudential Center on Wednesday. Anthony Morrow put the Nets ahead for good with a three pointer with 26 seconds to go and they outscored the Pistons 13-3 in the final 1:40 to give Mikhail Prokhorov and Avery Johnson their first win as Nets owner and coach.

It was also the first regular season NBA game at the Prudential Center, which rocked throughout the Nets final run, exploding when Morrow buried his three.  As time ran down, Prokhorov's group high-fived the Russian owner in his box behind the team benches.

Brook Lopez led the Nets with 25 points and 9 rebounds, while Devin Harris had 22 points and 9 assists, including a huge 3-point play on the possession before Morrow's game-winner. Morrow finished with 13 while Jordan Farmar, who contributed five points to the final run, had 10, as did Terrence Williams. In his NBA debut, Derrick Favors had 8 points and 10 boards and only one foul in 20 minutes.
