The latest of ESPN's 30 for 30 documentaries tells the story of former Net Drazen Petrovic and his friendship with his Yugoslavian teammate Vlade Divac. The two led their country to a World Championship gold medal in 1990, but their relationship was destroyed by the Croatian War of Independence, never to be repaired once Petrovic was killed in a car accident on June 7, 1993.
After being traded from Portland, Petrovic averaged 19.4 points on 51 percent shooting in 2 1/2 seasons with the Nets. His No. 3 was retired by the team the fall after he died and he was enshrined into the Naismith Hall of Fame in 2002.
"Once Brothers" debuts on ESPN at 8 p.m. ET on Tuesday.
