Cavs Outlast Nets

The Nets failed again to put two wins together, hanging around with the Cavs but ultimately falling, 94-86. The Nets played with more energy than the Cavs early on and led by as many as nine points early in the second quarter. Cleveland came back to take a one-point lead at halftime and took control of the game in the third. The Nets got to within four with less than five minutes to go in the game, but the Cavs put them away with an 8-0 run. LeBron James led the way for Cleveland, finishing with 28 points, nine rebounds and six assists. Devin Harris led the Nets with 22 points, while Brook Lopez and Chris Douglas-Roberts added 20 and 16 respectively. But Yi Jianlian's hot streak came to an end, as he shot just 2-13 from the field. As a team, the Nets shot just 39 percent and were outrebounded 52-38. James said of the home team, "The Nets are a talented team. They're going to play hard. They've got a lot of guys who want to win.''
