Along with a formal announcement that Ellerbe Becket and SHoP Architects will work together on the latest design, the Nets revealed new renderings of the Barclays Center on Wednesday. The design is structured around "three separate but woven bands" made of weathered steal and glass. The release reads that construction "is expected to begin on the arena later this year, with an anticipated opening during the 2011 – 12 NETS season."
