The Wall Street Journal reports that while the NBA hasn't begun a background check on Mikhail Prokhorov, "so far the league has no problems" with his plan to buy the Nets. Under league rules, Prokhorov would have to submit to the NBA combing through all his assets as part of its background check. Any change in ownership would also have to be approved by 75%--23--of the league's 30 owners.
