At one point, long before he was unceremoniously dumped as architect, Frank Gehry suggested that Bruce Ratner divide up the $5 billion project among top architects. It looks like Ratner is finally taking his advice. New York Observer reports SHoP, a "hot local architectural firm" that uses "highly distinctive exteriors and skins", has been hired to work with Ellerbe Becket on Barclays Center.
