With the 11th pick in the 2009 NBA Draft, the Nets selected Terrence Williams, the 6'6" point forward from Louisville. Williams appealed to the Nets because he can play multiple positions: small forward, shooting guard and a little point guard. He's also known as a top-notch defender. Williams can be expected to compete with Courtney Lee and Chris Douglas-Roberts next season. He will wear No. 8.
