It may not be as exciting as the Draft to fans, but it is to the 200 young women who are trying out for the Nets Dancers this weekend. Like draft prospects, dance prospects show their talents in front of a group of stone-faced Net staffers taking notes behind a folding table in the Nets gym. The contracts aren't as lucrative but the goal is the same: performing in front of tens of thousands at the IZOD.
