Cachet is defined as something that lends prestige and David Stern thinks Brooklyn will lend cachet to the Nets. "The Nets are going to be on this side of the river," said Stern speaking in New York, "as a result I think the Brooklyn Nets will have a cachet that's very good for the team, its fans and the NBA." He predicts ground will be broken soon for the Barclays Center. "I remain confident that Bruce Ratner is accurate."
