The Brooklyn Eagle and Brooklyn Paper, who share ownership but different histories on Atlantic Yards, are slamming critics of Barclays Center and calling for the arena to be built, whoever designs it. Two Eagle columnists referred to the critics as "spoilers" and "the usual clan of carpers and complainers" while the Paper called the arena "a fundamentally vital civic project in the right place at the right time".
