The Vince Carter Sanctuary will be dedicated in August, its $8 million price tag financed with a $1.6 million gift from VC. On July 1 , Carter will try to raise even more money for the sanctuary by lending his name to a gala at the Daytona 500 Club at Daytona International Speedway. It's one of three events Carter is hosting in July. The other two, on July 10 and 26, benefit his own Embassy of Hope Foundation.
