Buck Williams started his career with the Nets and when a fan on ESPN.com asked what franchise he'd like to "inherit", Williams replied, "Probably the Nets". Why? They have only "have scratched the surface ... there's so much upside to that team and you can really start a dynasty that's properly managed." Williams called New Jersey a "great market and they have some history like with Dr. J and with me to work with."
