The Nets may never play any regular season games in Newark, but they served as a useful foil to get talks moving between Newark and the NJSEA on ending the arena wars. Two days ago, Mayor Cory Booker demanded the state agency not upgrade the IZOD Center, saying it would hurt "The Rock" and deny his city a chance at getting the Nets. Now, it turns out the state may both upgrade IZOD and run "The Rock".
