The Pistons came out hot at the Palace Friday night, making their first seven shots from the field. The Nets, on the other hand, could only muster 38 points in the first half. They trailed by as many as 19 points and despite a strong second half, couldn't get all the way back. The Nets' three rookies got heavy minutes and scored a total of 52 points. Ryan Anderson led the team with 20 on 7-13 shooting, while Brook Lopez and Chris Douglas-Roberts finished with 16 apiece. Meanwhile, Devin Harris scored just one point and left the game in the middle of the third quarter after reinjuring his left shoulder, and Vince Carter took just five shots in 32 minutes. Detroit shot 54 percent from the field and outrebounded the Nets 41-31.
