Forest City Enterprises, the largest shareholder in the Nets at 23%, reported Monday that it continues to fund the Nets' losses at higher levels, but said "the overall operating loss for the team is comparable to the prior year". Forest City reported its share of the team's annual losses at more than $20 million. The team lost nearly $35 million in 2008. FCE is controlled by the extended Ratner family.
