Nets Get Burned in Minnesota

The Nets may have booked their May trip to Secaucus with one of their worst losses of the season Sunday afternoon in Minnesota. The Timberwolves came in with just three wins in their last 26 games, but looked like an offensive juggernaut on Sunday. Minnesota shot 57 percent (including 8-13 from three) in the first half and led by as many as 18 late in the second quarter. The Nets closed the half on a 9-2 run and cut the lead down to five early in the third quarter, but just couldn't put together enough stops to give themselves a chance. Vince Carter led the Nets with 36 points and eight rebounds and Devin Harris added 19 points, but the Nets recorded just 14 assists in the game and once again, their defense was their undoing. Mike Miller led five Wolves in double-figures with 22 points on 8-14 shooting.
