Cavs Shut Down Nets

The Cleveland Cavaliers are the best team in the NBA right now and the Nets found out why Sunday night at the IZOD Center. The game looked like it might be a blowout early on, but the Nets were within two late in the second quarter. Cleveland then closed the half strong and went up by as as 19 early in the third. The Nets cut it back down to eight midway through the fourth, but that was as close as they got. The Nets shot just 37 percent in the first half and 41 percent for the game. Vince Carter led the Nets with 25 points and nine rebounds, while Keyon Dooling added 19 points and five boards. LeBron James had 30 points, 11 boards and eight assists for Cleveland. With the loss, the Nets are now two full games behind Chicago for eighth place in the East. After playing nine minutes in the first half, Chris Douglas-Roberts left the game with a stomach virus. He scored four points and grabbed two rebounds. The Nets tied a team record with only five turnovers.
