Playing without Vince Carter for the first time this season, the Nets' winning streak came to an end Sunday night in Orlando. The Magic burned the Nets for 32 points in the first quarter and led by 17 midway through the second. The Nets never packed it in and picked up the defense in the second half, but the closest they got was within nine points late in the game. Orlando, led by Dwight Howard's 30 point and 16 rebounds, shot 62 percent from the floor in the first half, but just 37 percent in the second half. Devin Harris led the Nets with 28 points and 12 assists, but shot just 9-25 from the field. Brook Lopez added 19 points and 12 boards, but the Nets did not get much from anybody else. Ryan Anderson and Keyon Dooling, who had been shooting well of late, combined to shoot 1-12 from the field. The Nets have lost the last 10 times they've played without Carter.
