Frank Gehry is the famed architect Bruce Ratner brought in to design the Nets new arena and 16 skyscrapers in Brooklyn. On his 80th birthday, he spoke with the L.A. Times about the two big projects he hoped would be the capstone of his career, one Atlantic Yards. "I invested the last five years in them, and they're both stopped. So it leaves a very hollow feeling." Gehry didn't say what his current role is on the project.
