Nets Lose to Lowly Wizards... Again...as Frank Takes the Blame

The Washington Wizards have won just 13 games this season, but two of them have come at the IZOD Center. The second came Friday night, using 35-point third quarter to take control before cruising to a 11-point victory. Washington shot 47 percent from the field and was led by Antawn Jamison's 28 points. Devin Harris led the Nets with 26 points and 10 assists, while Brook Lopez added 16 points and eight rebounds. Vince Carter had 17 points and seven assists but shot just 6-17 from the field, and starting forwards Trenton Hassell and Ryan Anderson combined to shoot 1-12. The Nets have now lost five straight games for the second time in 2009. All five on this streak have been by double-figures. In his post-game comments, Lawrence Frank blamed himself for not inspiring the players, saying "I'm just doing a poor job. If I can't get these guys to compete harder I'm just doing a poor job because there's no excuse for it."
