ESPN: Nets, Rockets in Tuesday Talks

The ball, reports Chad Ford, is in the Rockets' court. The Nets don't like Houston's offer of Tracy McGrady for Vince Carter and Josh Boone and want something bigger. As reported by Al Iannazzone, they like Carl Landry, Ron Artest and Luther Head Shane Battier. Ford says Landry and Battier are key for the Nets since "both could play important roles in the future". Fred Kerber and Dave D'Alessandro report neither "permutation" is appealing or likely.
