The Daily News, quoting a single unidentified source, says the cost of special security glass for the Barclays Center is the latest unanticipated expense for the Nets' new arena and it "could be the death knell for architect Frank Gehry's flashy NBA basketball arena". The glass would cost $625 a square foot. Bruce Ratner had no comment but Nets' officials continue to say the arena will be ready in 2011.
