It turns out the Nets-to-Newark idea isn't dead. Gov.-Elect Chris Christie meets Tuesday with NJSEA chair Carl Goldberg to see what kind of deal can be worked out. Christie says he's hopeful some kind of agreement can be reached, but admits "I'm not in a giving mood". Under one plan, opposed by Christie, tickets at IZOD and Prudential Center events would carry up to a $3 surcharge to finance the deal.
