Impossible as it may sound, the Nets reached a new low Friday night in Toronto. The Raptors scored nine points before the Nets had even taken two shots, and it got worse from there. Much worse. 39-15 after the first quarter. 70-33 at halftime. The deficit reach 40 points in the fourth period before the Nets made a late and very meaningless run. They shot 46 percent from the field with five guys in double-figures, but turned the ball over 23 times and played their worst defense of the season (Toronto shot 59 percent), which is saying a lot. With one third of the season now over, the Nets are on pace to win six games, which would be an NBA record.
