Bruce Ratner has been notably silent about rumors he'd like the Islanders to join the Nets in Brooklyn. A marketing report he commissioned says it's possible and both Newsday and a respected Islander blog think he's interested. But the arena design was downsized a few months back to make it more "basketball-specific". That would seem to limit seating capacity for NHL games and limit revenue.
