In 2001-02, Kiki Vandeweghe was the Nuggets' GM when they won 27 games despite having some good young players. So Denver decided to rebuild, winning 17 the next season but winding up with the third pick in the Draft. They chose Carmelo Anthony and got to the playoffs. The next summer, he signed Kenyon Martin. But just because he's been through it before "doesn't make it any easier," says the Nets' GM.
