Nets Hire CitiField Contractor to Build Barclays Center

The Nets have contracted with Hunt Construction Corp. to build Barclays Center, according to team insiders. Hunt, an Arizona company, built the Mets' CitiField, as well as many NBA arenas, some in conjuction with Barclays architect Ellerbe Becket. Among their NBA projects: the Magic's new Amway Center, the Pacers' Conseco Field House and the Spurs' AT&T Center. Barclays will cost more than $750 million.
