Devin Harris and Brook Lopez effectively ran the pick-and-roll early, keeping it close, but played only limited minutes after halftime. Lopez finished with 19 points and 4 rebounds while Harris had 14 points and 4 assists, all in the first half. Chris Douglas-Roberts showed how much he improved over the summer, leading the Nets with 21 points on 5-for-11 shooting. Both CDR and Lopez went to the line repeatedly. Lopez hit 9-of-11, Douglas-Roberts 11-of -15. Yi Jianlian had 9 and 6 while rookie Terrence Williams scored 11, all in the second half, on 4-for-12 shooting, including 1-for-4 from downtown. Bobby Simmons exploded from deep in the third, hitting four three pointers and finished with 16 along with 6 boards. Sean Williams fouled out in less than 14 minutes.
