Nets Can't Hang With Magic

Despite losing Vince Carter to an injury in the second quarter, the Orlando Magic didn't have much trouble with the Nets Friday night at the IZOD Center, winning comfortably, 95-85. The game was tied early in the second, but the Magic then went on a 12-2 run to take control. They led by six at the half and by 13 after three. The Nets hung in, but never cut the lead to less than nine in the fourth. They had five players in double figures, led by Courtney Lee's 18 points, but shot just 38 percent from the field. Carter started his return to New Jersey off with a dunk and scored 16 points in just 14 minutes, but sprained his ankle in the second quarter and did not return.
